The Role You'll Play to Create Success
We are happy to announce full-time, on-site, Payroll Operations Trainer position filled with many exciting opportunities in Clearwater, FL! This job contributes to the mission of FrankCrum by providing payroll related training, coaching, and mentoring to new and existing employees.
- Develops, facilitates, and delivers training for new employees on compliance, systems, payroll processing and operations regarding policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Develops and maintains high quality training content, such as presentations, assessments, and practice exercises, and the development of multimodal content; makes recommendations for new training courses or revisions to existing training courses.
- Supports Payroll Operations Management with developing, facilitating, and delivering training for existing employees on wage and hour topics, regulatory changes, system enhancements, and advanced payroll topics to support ongoing staff development.
- Reviews completed work for thoroughness, accuracy, timeliness, proper communication and adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and Federal, State and Local regulations; identifies needed corrections and provides follow-up guidance and instructions as needed
- Evaluates and maintains the results of the quality of delivered training using evaluation forms, assessments, role-playing scenarios, client simulations, regular check in meetings, and other feedback measures developed to analyze training effectiveness; provide Quality Assurance and Training Manager feedback on the development of each team member.
- Assists Payroll Operations Management with the development of payroll policies and procedures by recommending process or system improvements and/or changes.
- Assists Payroll Operations Management with various projects including but not limited to year-end tasks, basic tax adjustments, reconciliations, updating new hire packets for documents changes, maintaining MFC Resources tab with updated documentation, etc.
- Acts as a mentor for payroll team members for various needs including but not limited to assisting with payroll and system questions, guidance, training,.
- Assists new team members to ensure a smooth and positive transition from training to their assigned payroll team after completing new hire training.
- Assists with assignment of clients to trainees before transition to ensure processing schedules are established to meet daily and weekly payroll processing expectations.
- Monitors payroll tasks such as the Unpaid and Untransmitted Direct Deposit Listing and Paid Termed Employee notifications and daily payroll status ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Manages team members’ schedules when they are out of the office, disperses workload to ensure proper coverage for all accounts and that client requests are responded to in a timely manner.
The Attributes We Seek
Keys to success in this position include knowledge at an advanced level regarding Federal, State, and local regulations regarding wage and hour topics, premium overtime, tipped, certified, job costing, piecework, multistate payroll processing, etc.
Three (3) years of payroll processing experience and a high school education or equivalent is required. A Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), or the ability to receive the certification within the first two testing cycles, is required.
A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification and training experience is highly preferred.
